Ingredients: Cultured Buttermilk (Skim Milk, Lactic Acid and Cultures)
Taste and Aroma: Tangy, similar to fresh buttermilk.
Uses: Primarily used for baking in biscuits, pancakes and any other recipe that calls for traditional Buttermilk. Buttermilk Powder can be reconstituted using 4 parts water to 1 part Buttermilk Powder.
Substitutes:Whole Milk Powder, Butter Powder, White Cheddar Cheese Powder and Yellow Cheddar Cheese Powder
Fun Fact: Despite its decadent sounding name, buttermilk actually contains no butter and, according to the California Milk Advisory Board, is low in calories and fat!
